No trip along the Otago Peninsula would be complete without a visit to Larnach Castle.
Built between 1871 and 1887 during the days of the Otago gold rush as the home of William Larnach, a prominent banker and entrepreneur, this is a residence of scale and grandeur. After falling into disrepair last century, the castle has been fully restored and, together with its beautiful gardens and spectacular views, is a must-see for visitors to Dunedin.
Larnach Castle accommodation
There are three types of unique accommodation located within the castle grounds, and guests can also book to dine in the castle.
Having recently won a New Zealand Hospitality Association Award for Excellence in Customer Service, this promises to be a memorable experience.
