Auckland ASB Classic

Aucklands ASB Classic is where many players start the new year on the tour, in preperation for the first major of the season, The Australian Open in Melbourne.
The ASB Classic is split across 2 weeks, 4th - 12th of Jan for women, and the following week, 13th - 18th of Jan for the men. This years WTA event features 2 former world no.1's Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniaki, with US Open winner Bianca Andreescu. The men have world no.4 Daniil Medvedev and up and coming stars Karen Khachanov and Frances Tiafoe.

Blackcaps vs India
24th of January - 29th of February
After facing off in the 2019 Cricket World Cup Semi Finals, New Zealand and India are set to face off for 12 games across New Zealand this summer. India's tour of New Zealand features 5 T20s, 3 ODI's and 4 tests.
The games will be played throughout the country taking place in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington and Christchurch.

HSBC Hamilton Sevens
25th - 26th Jan
HSBC Sevens is all set to take place in Hamilton for the third year running. The Sevens series is spread across an action packed weekend of rugby and entertainment.
The reigning champs Fiji look to make it a three-peat, whilst the home team, the All Blacks Sevens are still in seacrh of taking out the tournement in Hamilton.

Super Rugby
Kicking off 31st Jan
The 2020 Super Rugby season kicks off in New Zealand on the 31st of January, with the Blues taking on the Chiefs at Eden Park.
The competition will run from the end of January until the end of May with 36 round robin games in New Zealand featuring the Blues (Auckland), Chiefs (Hamilton), Hurricanes (Wellington), Crusaders (Christchurch) and Highlanders (Dunedin).
